Hi All!
I've been working on the links and such, and getting them fixed, so you don't have to use the link to the new gallery that I had in the blog entry for the past month or whatever. If you click on the links to the left of this, or through the drop-down menu at the top, it'll take you to whatever year you'd like to go to. I also updated the links to the right pointing to the latest faires that were updated as well.
I talked to Perry tonight, and I'm just waiting for him to shuffle what photos he has of 2006 over to Puppy so that he can then get them to me in some sort of order that makes sense to me (since I don't go to a lot of the faires). If he didn't, you'd end up with photos from Sonora in the Fair Oaks album or something! Don't want that! Those two know the faires really well and they get them straightened out for me before handing them over and then I get the wonderful task of cleaning them up and putting them online. So, that should hopefully start soon. Thanks again everybody for putting up with our pains around here, hopefully we'll get them all sorted out soon.

Have an ale & a pretzel!

Hi Everybody!

I haven't forgot about you. I haven't been able to get the html code updated on the site to be able to, and in a pretty way, send everybody to the new gallery and the new photos (well, old/new photos from 2005). I'm going to just post the link here for now, and that's what we'll go with. Also, when you're in the gallery, if you click on the [+] symbol, it'll drop down a text box and show you what faire that album goes to. These are only the rest of the photos for 2005. We don't have 2006 yet. I'm still waiting on those photos from the other guys. So, enjoy!

NEW PHOTOS HERE! CLICK THESE WORDS!

The new gallery is going to be slower in response when you click on pictures and links. There's nothing we can do about this, because it's database driven. However, it can also handle a large amount of photos (a plus for us) and make updating easier in the future, so we feel the slow responsiveness is something we can put up with. We will soon get the html updated to reflect the new gallery link and such, but for now, just use this above link, and not the links in the menu system to the left or at the top of the page. Thanks!

I apologize for that, this has been a big undertaking. We currently have almost 2 of every picture online, and need to get the new Gallery looking right, and all the menu's updated to point to the new gallery. We have some cool stuff for all of you, to hopefully making getting through the pictures easier. Searchable and all that fun stuff. The searchable stuff is going to be tough, because there's only about 6,000 or so photos online, and setting that up is a lot of typing for each specific picture.
So, very very soon this will be available to you, and I'm hoping all of you will love it. I'm currently typing this up in a hotel room in South Lake Tahoe the night before a weekend at the new Valhalla Tahoe Faire. We're very excited to see how the new year works out! I hope the folks who've stayed for the whole week really enjoyed their time!
I hope you all can be patient with us, we're hoping for some new looks around here as well and I'm hoping you all enjoy and like what we're doing. Some day will update the Bio section with a way to update it easy and we'll get that going again.... time for sleep!

You'll notice a nice little banner above this here that's a link to the new Valhalla (South Lake Tahoe) Renaissance Faire. Please check it out, it needs all the attention it can get to make it the Faire it once was! (and the site it's on is Kick Ass!)

Alright, all you naysayers out there! I've been working on the photos and getting them ready to put up. I'll also be installing new gallery software which will make our life eaiser. It won't include pop up windows, but it WILL include forward and back buttons and up buttons and just overall easier navigation in my opinion. I'm hoping to get some stuff up by this weekend. I have soooooooooooooooooo many photos to go through it's not even funny. (ok maybe a little funny)

The Tulare Faire was fun as usual (although a little hot for my taste), but I look forward to the new Tahoe Faire, and San Francisco and then Northern (with a little Burning man thrown in for good measure). Pictures pictures pictures!

Ok, once again if anybody has any info they want to send along to us, or just say hi the email address is loopedatfaire AT loopedatfaire DOT COM. I received an email today about the Shasta Celtic Faire not happening this year, but I don't have access to that email right now, and I can post the info about it later tonight.

See you at Faire!

Alright, alright. I know that's the question on everybody's mind. Well, in all honesty -- we don't know what happened. The host we were with for the last 3 years suddenly decided not to work any longer. We didn't receive an email, we didn't receive ANY notifications. So, the only thing we could do was find a new host, and quick! We searched high and low, and I think we found a good reputable company that's offering us WAY more than what we had before. Our disk space and bandwidth problems we had in the past shouldn't be a problem now. We may even.... *gasp* put some video from faire up at some time! (Don't hold your breath on that one just yet)

There are still pictures to be uploaded and I only have so much bandwidth to upload. I think everything should be up except for 2004 and 2005. I'll work on that tonight. Not all of 2005 photos are done yet as well. I had some tragedy in my life earlier this week (lost my favorite dog of all time of 13 years to a hit and run) and I've not had the website on my mind. Things are back on track, and you should start seeing some nice upgrades coming to the website soon. I just wanted to make sure to get pictures up and running, since that's what most of you come here for! :)

The galleries of photos will be changing. Now that we're at a new host, we're finally able to run the software we've been wanting to run for a while now. It'll make updating the photos easier, and make browsing them even easier for all you out there! The forums are still down, and will be for a bit. I'll probably get those installed tomrorow with the latest software and hopefully try to keep the bad spammers out. I'm glad we're back, as I'm sure you are as well. This also means our email will be working properly again, so feel free to send in any comments or questions or whatever you'd like. You can email us at loopedatfaire at loopedatfaire.com!

Ok, I'm going to end this for now, and get to building my new computer. See you all soon at Faire!
