What interested you in faire:
I loved the smell of the wet earth [especially after it rains].  I love wood smelling smoky fires.  Loved the people and how comfortable they all felt to me. I liked the freedom from the rest of the world.  Almost seems like a break from a life, that I didn't really ask for, but am forced to play a responsible role in.  Reminded me of my juggling festivals which were also very people/social oriented which translates into lots of hugs!  Its good to be at faire.  Weekends are not long enough!
Your favorite faire Is/Was:
Valhalla I love the whole 10 days of it especially the week in between. First two year's I spent them with Katje and her family, besides the rain, it was great.Ê Last year I spent it with Randy and we had so much fun. Thanks Randy. I love the trees and village.Ê Also Valhalla seems to be my favorite time to fall in love, seems to end there every year though, oh well there's always next year.Ê I like walking in the mornings behind the faire grounds back into the hills.Ê I pick flowers and listen for bears and scare myselfÊ silly.Ê It's a lot of fun.Ê Also the juggling is great.Ê Lots ofÊ jugglers go to that faire and it is fun to play with them!
Your favorite memory of faire is:
So many, Juggling under street lamps at Fair Oaks, Hot tub and TP at Folsom, hiding some friends at SLO for the night, Cooking for the group and being with the archery crew at night, taking naps in the Archery tent listening to Joel and Dave be funny with the background noises of the crowd, hawkers and drummers it puts me right to sleep.Ê Except when Joel does his impressions of Dr. Evil and the Fat Guy!Ê You should ask him to do those..He should be a comedian.Ê All of these are almost my favorite sounds, first favorite are 50 jugglers talking and dropping things.Ê Jugglers know what I mean.Ê Yeah Randy, I love the Kissing.Ê Not him! Yuk! He's like a brother! You all are disgusting!
Worst faire memory is:
The rain at Valhalla two years ago...or should I say flood, big disappointments at Fair oaks every year personal stuff, and cooking Quesadilla's over an open fire...never again!!! Not many bad times though...I always have my friends, you beautiful people, to help me though it all.
Any favorite faire tales you'd like to share:
Tess flirting, even more than me!Ê Laura changing for the 5th time, Arguing with Randy, watching people get tanked around the fire at night and laughing with everyone, egging on Out Of Kontrol to loose there clothes,Ê closing my eyes and hearing all the sounds of faire, watching the Duelist, dancing at the end of faire at northern at the drum session, getting my hair braided by three women and kids all around us, waking up warm next to someone, going up into the snow camp and blasting music at 1am in the morning out over the lake- last song was bagpipes blaring out Amazing Grace, trying to get up, find my shoes, get to the privy, at 4am because I drank to much, andÊ notÊ wake up everyone in my tent or in the whole camp, Right Barbara?!, singing Amazing Grace with Leslie, driving with friends to faire, juggling with friends, bullwhip lessons, walking alone in the night when everyone is asleep and being in this beautiful world of tents, stars, and smoke filled mistyÊ forest with the moon and stars....Ê I could keep on and on...
